In a meticulously executed security operation, Dubai Police, in coordination with Kuwait’s General Directorate for Drug Control, successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle one of the largest shipments of Captagon pills.

Dubai Police explained that the criminal network used an advanced camouflage method, hiding millions of pills inside sacks of corn, carefully distributed across five containers, in an attempt to bypass inspections and avoid suspicion.

They added that the precise analysis of intelligence data, along with information exchange between the UAE and Kuwaiti authorities, helped uncover the network's plot and track the movements of those linked to the shipment, enabling specialized teams to foil the operation at a critical moment.

Based on the exchange of confidential information with Kuwait's drug control authorities, the investigative teams launched a comprehensive field surveillance plan, which led to the identification of three Arab nationals linked to the shipment, revealed to have arrived through the port of an Arab country.

With the intelligence picture complete, the specialized teams carried out a tracking operation that culminated in the arrest of the three suspects as they were unloading the sacks for storage, and the seizure of all contraband on site.

The operation resulted in the seizure of 2 tons and 250 kilograms of Captagon pills—totaling 14,062,500—skillfully concealed within a commercial shipment in an attempt to disguise and smuggle them illegally, marking one of the largest high-quality seizures targeting organized smuggling networks.
