Iraq stands with Lebanon: Leaders talk unity and stability
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani received a phone call from Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Tuesday, during which they discussed recent developments in regional and international affairs, particularly the ongoing conflict in the region and the continued Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
Al-Sudani condemned the aggression against Lebanese territories and violations of its sovereignty, reaffirming Iraq's full support for Lebanon’s unity and sovereignty and its rejection of any assaults on its land.
The call also emphasized the importance of strengthening Arab coordination to address current challenges, fostering conditions to end the war, promoting stability through dialogue and diplomatic solutions, and safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial security of nations.
