US President Donald Trump issued a new warning to Iran on Monday, saying it must keep the Strait of Hormuz open, or it will face American attacks on its oil wells and power plants.

Trump wrote in a social media post, "Significant progress has been made, but if no deal is reached soon for any reason, which is likely, and if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened immediately, we will end our pleasant stay in Iran by destroying all power plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island, erasing them completely."

Today, the spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmail Baghaei, announced that Tehran has received messages through intermediaries indicating that the United States is willing to negotiate, but Iran considers the American proposals "unrealistic, illogical, and exaggerated."

Baghaei said, "Our position is clear. We are facing military aggression. Therefore, all our efforts and capabilities are focused on defending ourselves."
