Iran warns Trump’s threats to attack civilian sites could be war crimes
Tehran cites international law and vows a stronger response if U.S. targets bridges and power plants.

He added that threatening to attack power plants and bridges, which are civilian infrastructure, constitutes a war crime under Article 8(2)(b) of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
On Sunday, Trump threatened to bomb Iran’s bridges and power plants on Tuesday unless it reopened the Strait of Hormuz.
This threat prompted a similar warning from Iran, as the country’s central military leadership cautioned today that there would be a “more destructive” response if civilian targets were attacked again.
