UAE reaffirms defensive stance and commitment to regional stability amid escalating Iranian threats
The United Arab Emirates continues its consistent approach based on supporting the security and stability of the region, in coordination with regional and international partners, stemming from its firm commitment to preserving regional security and stability and sparing the peoples of the region the consequences of conflicts, according to the Emirates News Agency.
The UAE strongly condemned the Iranian attacks and threats that targeted the country and other states in the region, which included the launch of approximately 3,000 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones toward the United Arab Emirates. These attacks resulted in deaths and injuries among civilians, as well as damage to civilian infrastructure, in a clear violation of state sovereignty and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region, according to the agency.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that all measures taken by the United Arab Emirates were within the framework of defensive actions aimed at protecting its sovereignty, civilians, and critical infrastructure, in line with the country’s right to safeguard its national security and preserve its stability.
The ministry affirmed that the United Arab Emirates retains all its sovereign, legal, diplomatic, and military rights in confronting any threat or hostile act, and that attempts at pressure or the promotion of misleading claims will not affect its firm positions, nor will they deter it from protecting its supreme national interests and safeguarding its sovereignty and independent decision-making.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also affirmed that the United Arab Emirates continues close coordination and consultation with the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, as well as regional and international partners, in support of regional security and stability and to strengthen joint Gulf cooperation.
